Tim Grgurich (1994-1995)

Tim Grgurich became UNLV’s seventh head coach on Oct. 22, 1994. He spent 12 years as an assistant coach under Jerry Tarkanian at UNLV (1981-92). He helped Tarkanian’s squads advance to the Final Four in 1987, 1990 and 1991, capturing the national title in 1990. In 1994-95, he compiled a record of 2-5 but left the team after seven games due to health reasons. Assistant coaches Howie Landa and Cleveland Edwards served as interim head coaches for the remainder of the season. Grgurich announced his resignation on March 3, 1995. He returned to the Seattle Supersonics, where he was an assistant coach, in July of 1995.
